Teachers Who Passed Promotion Exams to Receive Letters from August 15 – GES

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced that teachers who successfully passed the recent promotion examinations will begin receiving their official promotion letters from August 15, 2026.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, the Service confirmed that it is currently finalising the preparation of the letters. These will be dispatched to the various Regional Education Directorates starting from August 15 for onward distribution to the successful teachers across the country.

Key Timeline Announced by GES

From August 15, 2026: Promotion letters will be sent to Regional Education Directorates.
By August 31, 2026: All qualified teachers are expected to be placed on their appropriate salary scales corresponding to their new ranks.
