The scholarship is straightforward and generous:
- You must start a postgraduate taught Master’s (MA, MSc, MMedSci, etc.) in September 2026.
- You must be classified as an overseas fee-paying student.
- You must be self-funded (not fully sponsored by a government, employer, or external organisation that covers full fees).
- You must study the full programme at Sheffield (split programmes or distance-learning/online courses are excluded).
Ineligible programmes include:
- Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) or Postgraduate Certificate (PGCert)
- Crossways or Erasmus Mundus courses
- Programmes with higher clinical fees
- Any course involving a year in industry or study abroad as a compulsory/optional part
Part-time students receive the discount pro-rata. For 2-year Master’s, the discount applies in Year 2 if you successfully complete Year 1.
