Important Notice for Specialist Nurses and Midwives ; Registration for License
The Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana extends a hearty congratulations to all newly inducted specialist nurses and midwives from the Ghana College of Nurses and Midwives (GCNM). As newly qualified professionals, the Health Professions Regulatory Bodies Act, 2013 (Act 857) requires you to register with the council and obtain a license to practice.
Registration Process

The Council receives the list of all newly inducted specialist nurses and midwives from GCNM.

All newly inducted specialist nurses and midwives should pay their registration fee at any GCB/ADB across the country.

Pay GHS 570 for registration, GHS 57 for replacement of an expired PIN card, and an additional GHS 71 for each year of expiry.

After payment, assemble the following: certified copy of GCNM certificate, Basic PIN, white background passport picture in a white shirt or blouse.

Proceed with Bank Pay-in-slip(s) and the items enumerated in step 4 above to any regional office of the Council to obtain a GCR receipt and fill a registration form.
Important Deadline
Failure to register within TWO MONTHS from the date of publication would attract a penalty. Please note: Section 73 (c) of Act 857 of the Health Professions Regulatory Bodies Act, 2013, states that it is an offence for a person who “practices of professes to practice as a Practitioner” in Ghana without registration.
