Undergraduate International students applying for Pharmacy
REQUIREMENTS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS APPLYING FOR PHARMACY
The minimum admission requirement for WASSCE applicants into the University of Cape Coast is an aggregate of 36.- Candidates must have credit passes in six (6) subjects with an overall aggregate of 36/24 at the WASSCE/SSSCE, respectively. Three of the six subjects must be core subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science, or Social Studies, and three must be in relevant electives. For purposes of admission, a credit pass in: WASSCE means A1 – C6, SSSCE means A – D
- Holders of the General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advanced Level (obtained not more than three years ago) must, in addition to credit passes in five (5) GCE ‘O’ Level subjects (including English and Mathematics), have at least two (2) passes in the relevant subjects.
- Applicants with the General Business Certificate Examination (GBCE) results should have credit passes (A-D) in six (6) subjects comprising three (3) core subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, plus three (3) relevant elective subjects.
- Holders of the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE)/ International Baccalaureate (IB) must possess at least Grades A*/A-C in English, Mathematics and Biology at the Standard (SL)/’O’ Level, in addition to three Higher Level (HL – A to C)/’A’ Level (A to D)/IB 2 (A to C) grades in the relevant subjects.

- Results from a Senior High School equivalent.
- Applicants with W.A.S.S.C.E results have to add the result checker information.
- Results in a language other than is not English will have to be translated and certified to be accepted. All International applicants’ qualifications would be referred to the National Accreditation Board (NAB) for determination of equivalences and eligibility for admission to the programme.

REQUIRMENTS Candidates seeking admission to an MA/MEd/MSc/MBA degree programme must:- Have obtained a good first degree (at least a second class) in an appropriate field of study from a recognised university/analogous institution.

- Have an MPhil or research MA/MEd/MSc/MBA degree in an appropriate field of study from a recognised university. OR
- Have an MA/Med/MSc/MBA degree in an appropriate field, with a CGPA of 3.5 or better, with not least than grade C+. Also, have scored a B+ or better in the Research Methods course
- A digital passport-sized photograph.

- Submit all official transcripts of academic record.

- Applicants for Masters must submit two reference reports, one of which must be from a former lecturer. PhD applicants have to submit three reference reports.
- MPhil applicants must submit a 2-3 page proposal on intended area of study including references. PhD applicants must submit a 3-5 page proposal on intended area of study including a working bibliography.

- Application Period: Opens in February every year.
- Deadline: The Admission process concludes by July.
- Enrollment: Successful candidates begin in August.

- Four years of professional studies (three years theory and one-year advanced practice). Students will be admitted in August 2018 and are expected to graduate in 2024.
