Important Notice on Examination Malpractices

WAEC has completed its investigations into exam irregularities. The committee has taken the following actions:

• Cancellation of Subject Results: 718 candidates

• Cancellation of Entire Results: 177 candidates

• Withholding of Subject Results: 1,240 candidates (for further review)

• Withholding of Entire Results: 93 candidates (for further review)

Additionally:

• All subject results for candidates from 119 schools have been cancelled.

• All subject results for candidates from 87 schools have been withheld for further scrutiny.

A final decision on all withheld results will be made by September 6, 2025.

What to Do If Your Result Is Withheld or Cancelled

Affected candidates are advised to:

1. Visit https://irreq.waec.org or

2. Click on the “Withheld/Cancelled” button on the WAEC homepage.

You will be redirected to a page that explains the reason for the action on your result and, if withheld, the next steps you need to take. School heads can also check the status using their results listing login credentials.

 

METHOD 2: MTN MOMO PAYMENT (MTN USERS ONLY)

1. Dial *170#

2. Select MoMoPay & Paybill

3. Choose Paybill → General Payment

4. Enter Payment Code: MAWU

5. Enter Amount (GHS 20 for 1 checker, GHS 40 for 2, etc.)

6. Enter Reference: BECE

7. Confirm with your MoMo PIN. Checker sent via SMS & WhatsApp after payment.
