For SSSCE Holders:

For WASSCE Holders:

Programme Description
The Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) in Early Childhood Care and Education provides quality teacher education for students from Senior High Schools and Colleges of Education.
The programme is designed to:

Train and upgrade students’ skills in best pedagogical practices.

Expose students to current trends in Early Childhood Education.

Produce professional teachers who can meet Ghana’s growing demand for quality Early Childhood Education.
This four-year programme is part of Ghana’s education reform agenda, focusing on equipping educators with the right skills to ensure effective teaching and learning in preschools and early grade levels.
Programme Objectives
Upon completion, graduates of this programme will:

• Credits passes in six (6) subjects comprising three (3) Core Subjects, including English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science OR Social Studies, as well as
• Credit passes in three (3) Electives in subjects with a total aggregate of 36 or better.
B. SSSCE
• Credit passes (A – D) in six (6) subjects comprising three (3) Core Subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, and Integrated Science OR Social Studies, as well as
• Credit passes in three (3) elective subjects with a total aggregate of 24 or better.
A. GCE Advanced Level
• Credit passes in three (3) subjects (at least one of the passes should be Grade D or better). Also, the applicant must have had
• credit passes (Grade 6) in five GCE Ordinary Level subjects,s including English Language, Mathematics and a Science subject (for non-science students) and an Arts subject (for Science students).
B. Mature Applicants:
• Applicants must be at least 25 years old by September 1, 2019, of the academic year they wants to enrol.
• Must show documentary proof of date of birth (possibly birth certificate, baptismal certificate issued not less than three years).
• Must have a minimum certificate in WASSCE with passes in English Language and Mathematics or a Teacher’s Certificate ‘A’ or their equivalent
• Must have a pass in Mature Entrance Examinations in both the Subject Area Test (SAT) and General Aptitude Test (GAT)

Description
This programme is targeted at Pre-School Educators, SHS Certificate Holders, Teacher’s Certificate ‘A’ holders, Social Workers, and all those who desire to be trained in the education of children at the pre-school level.
Entry Requirement
For Direct Entry, Applicants must possess any ONE of the following:
A. WASSCE
• Credit passes in Six (6) subjects, including (3) core subjects (A1- D7), plus
• Credit passes (A1 – C6) in their (3) electives.
B. SSSCE
• Credit passes (A – D) in Six (6) subjects comprising three (3) Core Subjects including English Language and Mathematics, plus
• Credit passes in three (3) elective subjects.
C. GCE ‘O’ Level
• Credit passes (Grade 6) in five (5) subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, and a Science subject.
D. Teacher’s Certificate ‘A’
• Teacher’s Certificate ‘A’ from a recognized College of Education or Institution.
E. Certificate in Pre-School Education from the University of Education, Winneba.
F. Mature applicants

About The Author
Can you apply with a bachelor of education ( upper primary) to teach a middle school?? Or can a person be accepted with that course since he/she did not specialize in a particular subject??
You cannot apply for QTS with NTC index number. You can only apply when you have the license number. Most of us are having the exam certificate without the license number and it has been a very huge problem for us. I have tried applying severally, cant work.
