Entry Requirements (WASSCE/SSSCE)

Credit passes (A1–C6 / A–D) in English, Core Mathematics, Integrated Science and Social Studies (all four cores must be entered).
Credit passes in three relevant electives (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics for most programmes).
Minimum aggregate: Programme-specific (usually 8–12 for highly competitive ones like Nursing, Medicine, and Medical Laboratory).

Mature Applicants: Minimum age 25 years + pass UHAS Mature Entrance Examination.

Closing Date: Not yet published on the portal (typical pattern is late July to mid-August). Apply early to avoid last-minute congestion.

2. Postgraduate (Masters/MPhil/PhD) Admissions

3. Distance / Sandwich / Top-Up Programmes

UHAS is primarily a campus-based institution and does not currently run full-scale distance learning programmes like UCC or UEW.

However, limited Sandwich / Top-Up options exist in some schools (especially Nursing, Midwifery, and Public Health) for working professionals. These are usually weekend or vacation-based and announced separately.

Status for 2026/2027: Check the admissions portal under “Sandwich” or contact the Admissions Office for availability. Most sandwich programmes follow the regular undergraduate timeline.
