Expected Release Timeline for 2026/2027 FormsÂ
UCC follows a predictable schedule every year. Here’s when you should expect the forms:
- Institute of Education Sandwich (3-Semester & 5-Semester B.Ed Top-Up Programmes) → Expected: Early February to mid-April 2026 (Last year: Opened 7 Feb 2025, closed 15 April 2025) Perfect for diploma holders (teachers) who want to upgrade to Bachelor of Education in just 3 or 5 semesters during long vacations.
- Campus-Based Sandwich Programmes (Undergraduate/Diploma/Certificate) → Expected: April 2026 (announced around March) (Last year: Opened 7 April 2025, closed 20 June 2025)
- UCC Open Admission for Masters
- UCC SWITCH 3.1 (4th Cohort) is NOW OPEN
- Scholarships Available for Students at the University of Cape Coast (UCC): Requirements & How to Apply
- Regular (Full-Time) Undergraduate Degree Programmes → Expected: May 2026 (Last year: Opened 8 May 2025, closed 30 October 2025)
- Distance Learning Programmes (CoDE) → Expected: June 2026 (Last year: Opened 20 June 2025, closed 30 October 2025) Note: The CoDE admission page currently has a general/open invitation with no deadline — applications may start rolling earlier.
Programmes Available & Who Can Apply
1. Sandwich Programmes (Campus + Institute of Education)
- 3-Semester B.Ed (for diploma holders)
- 5-Semester B.Ed (extended for certain cases)
- Other undergraduate sandwich degrees, diplomas & certificates
- Eligibility: WASSCE/SSSCE, Diploma holders, Mature applicants (25+ years)
- Runs during school vacations (usually July–August & December–January)
2. Distance Learning (CoDE – College of Distance Education)
- 3–5 Semester top-up options (especially B.Ed & Business programmes)
- Full undergraduate degrees (4 years)
- Postgraduate distance options
- Study at regional centres across Ghana + online components
- Eligibility: Same as above + working professionals love this mode
3. Regular Degree Programmes
- Over 80+ programmes in Sciences, Arts, Education, Business, Health, Agriculture, etc.
- Full-time on main campus
4. Other College Programmes
- Institute of Education top-ups
- Graduate Entry Medicine (GEM)
- Mature Entry routes available across all modes
Documents & Requirements You’ll Need
- WASSCE/SSSCE results (or equivalent)
- Birth certificate
- Passport-size photos
- For mature applicants: Proof of age (25+) + pass Mature Entrance Exam
- For top-up (3–5 semester): Relevant diploma certificate & transcript
- For international applicants: Passport + equivalent qualifications
How to Apply (Step-by-Step – Same Every Year)
- Buy an e-Voucher from:
- GCB, ADB, Zenith, Prudential, Republic, GT Bank, Ghana Post, Mobile Money (9663*555#), etc.
- Visit https://apply.ucc.edu.gh/ Select your mode (Regular / Sandwich / Distance) Fill the online form carefully
- Submit and print confirmation Post hard copies (if required) to the nearest CoDE study centre or Ghana Post
- Track your application & admission list at https://admissionlist.ucc.edu.gh/
No hard copies needed for most regular applications everything is online.

- Scholarships & student loans available
- Hostel accommodation (first-come, first-served)
- Cut-off points released after forms close
- Admission lists usually come out 1–3 months after deadline
